Bolytair B jumped an awesome clear showjumping round yesterday to complete the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. He felt amazing and it was so cool to finish off the weekend on such a high note! I was glad that everyone got to see how much class he has.
I got a monkey of my back too and achieved a goal that I have been after every day since I was a kid! It took a hell of a lot longer than I would have liked! But we got there in the end!
None of this is possible without a team and an amazing horse.
Janet, Kurt and Connor Giesselman have given me a life altering opportunity in allowing me to pilot Bolytair B. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing how happy they were yesterday. I won’t ever be able to repay them for what they have given me
Emily Lehman has given her all for us and for Bolytair B. She works so hard and has done such an amazing job looking after him. I’m really grateful for all of her hard work .
My mum Kym for flying all the way from Australia to watch me go this week. No one has had more influence on my career than her and it was so great to have her here.
All the members of the #SchrammFam who came to Kentucky to watch us go. I lost count of how many people were here. Seeing all those faces when I came out of the ring was so awesome!
So many people sent messages, cheered extra loud or even just wished me luck.
I still feel a bit like this nobody from Queensland and it’s kind of crazy how many people knew Boly or told me they came to see us go. It was so inspiring and motivating for me.
Most of all my wife Jimmie, who is there for all the ups and downs. You know who really is by your side when they are helping you carry the tack back to the barn after a tough day! Thanks babe
Thanks again to everybody who supports us!
It’s time to go home, ride the nice young horses and try and fill the stables with more nice horses! Back to work
Massive congrats to Boyd Martin on an excellent result. No one deserves it more!
